Как вывести посты с картинками на главную статичную страницу wordpress?

Почему то что работает в категории

Не работает на статичной странице?

Потому что на странице категории есть глобальный запрос постов, а на статичной в глобальном запросе только текущий пост. Выборку записей из базы нужно делать самостоятельно с помощью wp_query() или get_posts()

// задаем нужные нам критерии выборки данных из БД
$args = array(
	'posts_per_page' => 5,
	'post_type' => 'post',
);

$query = new WP_Query( $args );

// Цикл
if ( $query->have_posts() ) {
	while ( $query->have_posts() ) {
		$query->the_post();

	// Постов не найдено
