Роутер на php как разделить запрос?

Всем привет суть в чем
Есть ссылка site.com/news - роутер берет контролер с именем news.php и запускает содержимое
а как сделать чтобы site.com/news/xxx чтобы xxx роутер обрабатывал не для контроллеров .php а как запрос к базе?
