How to get done with a dev environment on iMac Yosemite for php?

Hi there. I can't get deal with my php and its extensions.

So I d know how to install mcrypt extension normally and how to set symbol links with php or xammp php.

So I'm used homebrev to get the mcrypt extension, I've execute it, and linked to php, but the mcrypt version was older than it needs to be.

There was an advice to don't use homebrev, because it's horrible and there are lots of errors available.

Could you share some tutorial links «for beginners» which helps me to understand the idea of linking and helps me to get this task done.

I'm sorry about English, but there is no Russion lang on this tablet.

Если у вас один проект на PHP , то стоит уже доставить все необходимые либки с помощью brew, composer, или скомпилить руками.
Но если у вас больше одного проекта, то переключить версии PHP и его расширения с помощью всяких тулз очень геморно, лично мое мнение.
Я использую связку Ansible + Vagrant. Решает все вопросы, поднимается в течении 3 минут.
