Почему не работает gzip nginx+NodeJs?

В папке 'sites-enabled' создал файл для домена 'example.com'. Nginx перенаправляет на nodeJs, но не могу понять, почему gzip не включен.

UPDATE Оказалось, что gzip работает, но только для http. А я проверял на https

Для HTTPS сжатие по умолчанию отключено не просто так.

А это тут причём? Вопрос о gzip.
А "не работало" у него только потому что не был добавлен server {} c https директивами (listen 443 ssl, etc.)

ky0, у человека не работает gzip по https. Причём тут всё написанное :) Gzip работает с https.
Проверить можно на любом нормальном сервере. Пример:
