I speak to to undergraduates all the time and they are ask me the same question. Working at Metric Central has guided students across a range of different industries but we've found that you really need to choose a field of study that interests you and to find an employer to work with. You can always pivot your direction in the future but getting a day to day practical job within the general field of interest will give you a good head start. Hope this helps.

I went to Manchester Metropolitan University (UK) and studied Business Management - It did have an extensive Digital Marketing unit which I would highly recommend. If you're not a UK citizen, you can apply to an open University in the UK which would be more appropriate.
