Привет! Все очень просто. Чтобы была видна тень - вокруг CardView должно быть свободное пространство. Следуя Material Design - оно должно равняться 8dp.

Привет! Для начала, нужно спросить у пользователя разрешения:

• На камеру

  <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.CAMERA"/>

  
  
• На запись

  <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE"/>

  
  

В res/xml/file_paths.xml указываем более подробный путь к папке:

<external-path name="my_images" path="Android/data/com.mydomain.myapp/files/Pictures" />

В createImageFile():

File storageDir = getExternalFilesDir(Environment.DIRECTORY_PICTURES);
