Ошибки авторизации phpmyadmin?

Есть такое дело ввожу root пароль пустой, mysqli_real_connect(): The server requested authentication method unknown to the client [caching_sha2_password] и еще mysqli_real_connect(): (HY000/2054): The server requested authentication method unknown to the client

ввел под рутом в цмд mysql> ALTER USER root IDENTIFIED WITH mysql_native_password BY 'PASSWORD';
error 1396 (HY000) Operation alter user failed for root'@'%'

Пользователь root? Ты его только установил? Попробуй root root как логин и пароль.

можно по аналогии с mysqli_connect('127.0.0.1','root','','DBName');
где
root- ты
DBName-название БД
