Имеется 3 проекта, которые должны открываться: 1-й по умолчанию "/", и два проекта по "/project2" и "/project3", нужно просто возвращать index.html из пути "/home/apps/project2/public" и "/home/apps/project3/public" соответственно
Сейчас имеется такая запись в конфиге:

root home/apps/project1/public;
}
location /project2 {
root home/apps/project2/public;
}
location /project3 {
root home/apps/project3/public;
}
но она почему-то не работает (404)
location вроде как срабатывают, пробовал возвращать обычный текст, но index.html не возвращает, пробовал дописывать "index index.html", все равно
Причем такая запись просто в
server { ... root home/apps/project3/public }
работает
